Inktober Week 4 + A Few Days!
November 7, 2017Here is my final week (+ a few days) of Inktober! It has been almost a week really sense I finished my last Inktober. Over the weekend I had a table at a local holiday bazaar here in Kodiak. so I was quite busy prepping all my goods to sell for that, I had a lot of fun chatting with all the people who came out and thank you to all who purchased any of my paper goods and illustrations!!! But now that things have settled down a little, I have had time to think and reflect on my Inktober, I really had a lot of fun this year! I think that by simplifying my subject matter to one character really helped me not burn out to much creatively. All the different ballet steps and poses really challenged how I drew anatomy, but it was really good because I feel like I am able to put my characters in different positions now instead of just standing looking strait, which was always my go to pose. My favorite part is looking back on my Instagram and seeing all the colors, it is so bright and colorful it makes me so happy to see all those colorful ballerinas!
day 22 second arabesque // day 23 third arabesque // day 24 forth arabesque // day 25 pas de chat // day 26 grand jeté // day 27 pas de poisson // day 28 assemblé // day 29 penché // day 30 tutu // day 31 reverence
If you have never done a month long drawing/painting challenge I really recommend trying it, it pushes you in such a good way where you are faced with both your strengths and weaknesses all at once everyday. But for now I am happy to get back to my regular schedule! Happy November!
